What Is RSS

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a technology designed to collect and present information from various Internet sources. Information received through RSS feeds is convenient to read on your computer; there is no need to browse the Webpages you are interested in.

RSS feeds usually contain periodically renewable information: title, short description, link to the full text on the Internet, and date of publishing.

How to Use RSS

In order to read the information received through RSS feeds you should install an RSS aggregator on your PC. You can choose one of the following free RSS aggregators:

Install an RSS aggregator on your PC and indicate the address of a chosen feed. (You may also indicate more than one address and organize the information by categories.) The aggregator will periodically send news from the feeds to your PC and save them in the appropriate categories. You can then read the news at a time that is mostly convenient to you.

You can also read chosen RSS feeds by using Web applications such as Google Reader or Bloglines. In this way you will be able to reach them through any computer having an Internet connection by logging onto a selected Website with your registration name.

Terms of Use and Liability
