Today is the last day of Robertas Čipkus as the Chief Financial Officer at Danske Bankas. Over the recent years Mr. Čipkus headed the financial service of Danske Bankas and was Deputy Director General.
Just like with any job, one day the time comes to take a step further," says the Chief Financial Officer. I feel I have done a lot in this job and it's the time for changes and new challenges," says Mr. Čipkus.
Robertas Čipkus entered the finance sector back in 1994 when he started working at the Accounting Department of the then State Commercial Bank. A year later he moved to the Finance Department of the then Lithuanian Development Bank, and three more years later (in 1998) became the Director of the said department.
In 2000, Mr. Čipkus became the Chief Financial Officer of AB SAMPO bankas. Two years later he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of the same bank.
While working for the bank, Robertas Čipkus developed a number of strategies for the areas of the bank's financial accountability, budgeting, financial risk management and fund raising, was ensuring their implementation and contributed to the strategic management of the bank.
Moreover, in 2004 to 2005 Robertas Čipkus was Chairman of the Board of the Latvian bank AB Sampo banka.
Mr. Čipkus will now take at least a month of holidays; however he has not disclosed his further plans yet.
